Amazing retractable screen! We had multiple people and our dogs walk through it and it’s still holding up very well. I reached out to customer service as my screen door wasn’t retracting very smooth. They provided me very detailed instructions (videos and documents) on how to replace the boot and clean/lubricate the track. Now my screen door is as smooth as day one. Could not be happier with the outcome after ordering our double screen for our bedroom French doors. I was bummed thinking that we wouldn’t get to take advantage of the nice weather by leaving the French doors open this summer since it would be inviting all of the bugs in the house. We had a Casper Disappearing Screen installed on our patio door late last Spring. For the first time since buying our home in 1996 we were able to leave our french doors open well into the evening without any bugs infesting our home. I wish we had installed it years ago. The installer was very professional. He had to come twice because our door sill was slanted outwards and I had to level off part of it to accomodate the screen. Once that was done he came back and installed it perfectly. Keeping the doors open allowed our home to cool down rapidly after sundown and I’m sure we saved more on air-conditioning than the cost of the screen. We couldn’t be happier. A great product and a great company.

We LOVE these screens! We purchased two of the double sized screens for our French doors on the upper and lower levels. I installed them myself and each time it took between 45 minutes to an hour. You will need a second person to hold things up for you. The horizontal pieces came a little long which I was happy with because that way you could trim them down to fit your opening perfectly. Make sure you have a chopsaw or hack saw on hand for this If you install them yourself. We have used them for around the past six months and they are consistently functional and hold together just fine. They are attractive and manufactured right here in the USA. As a former machinist I can attend to their manufacturing quality as well. Each has only come off the track once and they were easy to get back in by simply closing and reopening the screen. Our cat did it when he ran into it. Hasn’t happened since because he knows it’s there now :) The customer service was excellent as there was a missing piece but they were quick to reply and sent replacement right away. Overall this was an excellent shopping experience. Next year we are looking to add a single screen to our dining room door as well. I recommend that if you buy the double door screens to also purchase the slide lock as it’s Easier to manage when you only have one hand free to open the door.
